Twitch Streetwear Hoodie

SupeRanked 009 Twitch Streetwear Hoodie - Front

Founded in 2011, Twitch is currently the most popular online service to watch and stream content related to games. It originally focused almost entirely on video games, but has since expanded to include streams dedicated to talk shows, craftwork, music, etc. Owned by Amazon since 2014, Twitch has millions daily active users and a very unique identity reinforced by their late-2019 redesign. We’ve been recently working on a concept for a streetwear hoodie inspired by the new logo, and here’s the result.

Overview

The new logo has been released in late 2019. It comes with various, beneficial updates that make it so much better. The main change being the tighter counterspaces of the letters that now also match the thickness of the stroke around the letters. The characters are wider and bolder, creating a more impactful branding. The angled notches on the bottom of the “w”, “t”, and “c” are all now in the same direction, making the logo consistent and balanced.

Concept

Twitch may have begun as a video game streaming service but since then it’s been expanding to offer a variety of live streams aimed to appeal to a broader audience. Some examples are IRL (In Real Life) which features streamers simply chatting live with their viewers, Talk Shows including a mix of live panel discussions, and even professionally produced variety shows. While viewers looking for something more artistic should check out the Creative category. This is where artists, programmers, animators, cosplayers, and designers share their creative process with the world.

We felt that such a widespread and variegated streaming platform deserves a bold design for its merch. We decided to start from a classic streetwear hoodie design and play along with it by leveraging on both brand name and icon.

The results is something that we hope it could strike the attention of both online viewers and real life crowd, thanks to its bold pattern and a combination of colors that it’s rarely found elsewhere when it comes to streetwear.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Sneakers

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a FPS game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Serving as a reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series, as well as the sixteenth overall installment in the COD series, it was released on October 25, 2019. This project is a tribute to the long-standing franchise.

Overview

Attempting to reflect the complexities of 2019 warfare is an compelling gambit, but it’s also a gamble. As as mainstream franchise with a reputation for run-n-gun immediate gameplay, this is a tough position from which to start discussing the complexities of war. And we have to say we really appreciate the effort that Infinity Ward & Co. have placed on this title, both in terms of story and technical evolution of the game which clearly steps up on graphics and realism. The game has hooked us for hundreds of hours already, and we’re still amused by the details such as the audio effects and the micro-movements when holding a weapon. That’s why we all agreed to work on a unique fashion item for this game.

Concept

After a couple of hours of brainstorming we decided to focus on a pair of sneakers “COD style”. The design should have been a combination of a military-grade gears together with the utilitarian trend that is taking fashion by storm.

And so our approach to this design was to infuse a few key elements to make these sneakers concept even more meaningful: a breathable and impermeable fabric like those you’ve seen before on Geox shoes, an easy-lock mechanism for the strings, a heavy duty shoe sole able to step on nails and spikes without making a dent, and a heel strap to further improve comfort and grip.

This is our first attempt on a sneaker design and we would love to hear your comments. So please do let us know your thoughts! And if you have your own sneaker design to show to the world, feel free to submit it to us.

AC Milan Streetwear Hoodie 2020

In 1899, two English expatriates—Herbert Kilpin and Alfred Edwards—founded Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club, known today around the world as A.C. Milan. We want to celebrate the 120th Anniversary with a limited edition design based on the legendary colors of the Italian club.

Overview

Here at SupeRanked we love football. And when it comes to think of a streetwear design based on a European club, our mind goes to what it has been nominated by the UEFA as one of the strongest equipo of all times: that AC Milan team that goes from 1988 to 1990. At that time Arrigo Sacchi was managing a perfect machine, sealed by an unparalleled showcase of talents (Baresi, Costacurta, Maldini, Tassotti) and made lethal by the greatest orange trio: Gullit, Van Basten, and Rijkaard.

Concept

This concept is a throwback tribute to that incredible era when Kappa was the sponsor. The Italian brand was already famous for experimenting with innovative designs, like it happened later on in the ’90s with a few other iconic kits supplied to Juventus FC.

With this in mind we’ve briefed a designer (and an AC fan) from Indonesia that knows those days very well, and together we’ve come up with this concept. We’re combining together the two souls of AC Milan: Rossonero stripes and classic white. But since we don’t want to mess up with tradition (i.e., the official kit) we’ve decided to go for a more playful project with a hoodie instead.

The badge (which was missing in some Kappa iterations from the ’80s) is reintroduced in our concept, along with San Giorgio’s cross and a higher percent of dark tones to provide better contrast.

AMD Threadripper T-Shirt

Are you guys as thrilled as we are for the new Threadripper 3000? That’s why we can’t stop thinking that Ryzen—and Threadripper, of course—are the coolest brands in the tech industry right now. I mean, 32 cores and 64 threads? That’s benchmark-licious! OK, we digress . . .

This is a different take on the design previously developed for our streetwear hoodie. We had fun creating the vectorial representation of a CPU and so we decided to propose it again with some minor amendments and stick it on the front of a T-shirt with a bit of an extra e-sports vibe. Basically, this is what we would love to wear if our hypothetical e-sports team was sponsored by AMD.

About this concept:

  • Brand: AMD Threadripper
  • Source of inspiration: Vector design on a classic e-sports style T-shirt
  • Designer: Dom (Vietnam)

AMD Ryzen Streetwear Hoodie

Exciting times ahead for PC enthusiasts. Remember those years when AMD started kicking Intel’s ass with Athlon XP and Athlon 64 back in the early 2000? Feels like ages ago, cause it is. Well, thanks to Lisa Su’s medicine AMD is finally back on track with the most exciting CPU lineup of the last two decades.

Source: Forbes

With the launch of the AMD Ryzen 3000 line up of processors, AMD is actually beating Intel on performance, power and price. We’re so excited about this and we can’t wait to try out the next release of Threadripper. To celebrate this moment in CPU industry, we’ve worked at a concept of a hoodie that includes the Ryzen iconic logo as well as a new minimal design of a CPU at the back.

  • Brand: AMD
  • Source of inspiration: streetwear combined with minimalist CPU design
  • Designer: Ardimas (Indonesia)
